Re: Some suggestions for Ibanez guitars

Locking Trem= Inconvenient for people who don't like them

Standard Trem= What many people want.

Locking tuners and a good nut usually solve the tuning issue anyways.

I'd take a trem like the one on the older Vinnie Moore models over the edge zero anyday.

Sounds like you need to find a good reputable luthier and get the guitar of your dreams built to your spec. Let us know how you fare

Re: Some suggestions for Ibanez guitars

in my more then humble opinion, 2-3 models with "standard" trem is enough. I feel like Ibanez is not really competing with guitar makers which are known to use standard trems - like Fenders. A person, who uses, say, an RG heavily, would probably use a Strat only occasionally, and for Strat tones, would probably go to Strats instead of trying to find a vintage-bridged RG to mimick one. That's my logic, at least - one thing well done is worth more then two things done in a mediocre way.

so i would say, to paraphrase one of the earlier posts,

Quote:

Locking Trem= Inconvenient for people who don't like them
Standard Trem= Simply Inconvenient.
