Starfield Guitars - Talman bitch!

A long time ago Starfield guitars were out for one or two years. They made a really nice Tele. No not the hollow one but solid,maple f/board, three duncans and a wilkanson whammy. Picture Richie Kotzens Electric Joy tele to get close.

I had the choice between a Washburn N3 and one of these. I went with the washburn but always regret it.

I saw one on a British site with a rosewood board *it was a bit expensive but lost the URL.

The Starfield range was great. Bring back the tele one with the old headstock (or with the RG headstock)



Another thing, Talmans, especially the PG one the only bad thing was the headstock. If it had an RG, old starfield or ghostrider headstock it would have looked great.

Seconded. The Talman's headstock discouraged me from ever purchasing one. I saw one that replaced the neck with a neck from a regular "S" series with the standard Ibanez headstock and I found this very appealing.

I liked the ghostrider series headstock and have always thought the Talman series should have had the same shape.

The other thing I'd like to mention is painted headstocks. Nothing (imho) looks worse than a natural finish headstock against a rosewood board on a guitar with a painted body. It works for guitars like the JS-6 with the natural body (and yes for Jeff Tyson of T-Ride's custom JS-5) , but not for the talman series so if this series was to be reintroduced I would hope the headstocks would be matched to the body colour or at the very least painted black.

A tele style pickup arrangement on a Talman style body would also attract my attention.
