Super wizard back on Prestige guitars in 2007?

Hello Ibanez!

The missed super wizard came back in 2006 with the addition of a titanium reinforcement rod on J Custom models.

Can we expect this neck to be back in this form on next prestige RG generations?

...Or is it just a crazy dream?

I do like it but all the super wizard was just a way of putting cheaper maple cuts eitherside of a strong strip of bubinga so any 1 piece has to have better wood in it to stay straight.

so i like it but only want it back if the're going to use better quality wood.

It's not exactly the same as the original Super Wizard. It's 58mm wide at the last fret just like the 05' and newer necks. The originals were 56mm at the last fret. That's where I notice the difference the most. That extra may not seem like much, but that changes the taper of the fingerboard its full length.

I wish Ibanez just give these new and modified neck profiles different names rather just changing the specs of existing name. It's confusing, and slightly misleading, to many people. --Jason

Good point tho im waiting to play one properly to judge the taper because i think as long as the strings dont taper more lke with a wizard 2, it should be allright.
