I'd say if you "re-issue" a guitar it should be just that, a "re-issue".

My vote is for a rosewood board, plain dots and silkscreened logo

My 89 RG770 CO (I am the original owner) and my RG550MXXDY. A reissue of the Carotene Orange would be really cool, yes even with a Maple board and matching headstock.

+1000 on that notion!
I am still pining for the 565 I sold which Kevan of Tremol-No fame owns.
I borrowed one from a guy who was helping us record a demo a while back, and it just screamed! Red body, red inlays, Maple Neck and reverse headstock. He had a Hotrail in the Neck and I believe a Super Distortion in the bridge. The harmonics just popped outta that guitar!!!

The one in this thread is drool-worthy!

Re: time for the RG560 reissue!!

You know, after the 550 and 770 reissues, do we still want reissues of guitars that will end up costing more than what we could pick them up on the used market for?

Re: time for the RG560 reissue!!

Why wouldn't they cost more? They are brand new guitars....?

And what is with people saying "reissue with this and that" changes? It would hardly be a reissue if the thing didnt exist in that form before.....

With that said, I'd love to see the 565, Green Dot UV, UV777GR, the LNG DY and SK Jems, but I guess 20th Anniversary doesn't really apply to them all.

Re: time for the RG560 reissue!!

Candy Apple with rosewood board and matching headstock PLEASE !!

It is the guitar that made me realize what guitars are susposed to be.
I sold it in the 90's like an idiot. Have never stopped thinking about it.

PLEASE RE-ISSUE THE 560

Not a true re-issue, but:

....There's your modern 560. It's limited release, through Chesbro apparently. I'd posted this before, but it didn't generate much interest then.

Nope, no rosewood. But.... you could always snag a 1570 neck. They should be interchangeable, should you want to go that route.
