Re: What next for the Ibanez reissues?
I'm actually kind of interested in the reissued "Flying Pan" pedal, although that's a pedal, not a guitar.

Re: What next for the Ibanez reissues?
I've been thinking about a RG565. Would be great. I might start saving money, just in case.
Maple fretboard, reverse headstock, H/S pick-up config, drool......

Re: What next for the Ibanez reissues?
Instead of a specific model, I'd rather see them reissue the Original Wizard neck profile across the board on Prestige level guitars. Maybe even throw in a few maple fingerboard models for good measure. --Jason

Re: What next for the Ibanez reissues?
540P 1 The PII has a goofy upside down RG body that I'm not as fond of as some people. I have a 88 P1 that I really love, though. One of the best guitars ever made. That should have been the Satriani model.

Wow, a lot of love for the S guitars.
How about an RR550?

Re: What next for the Ibanez reissues?
granted that i'd love to see them all reissued, as i dig them all,
540P (1)
:
it absurdly didn't sell back in the days, even less today. also, 20th reissue would have been done in 2007.
540P (2)
:
didn't sell back in the days, even less today. also, Tak Hosono already asked for a reissue but the answer was no. also, a limited production 45mm-wide nut would be a pretty high hurdle for Gotoh (or whoever) to jump.
540R
:
it'd cost near like a JS, so why not getting a JS instead (that's what the average customer would think, not us of course). also, 20th reissue would have been done in early 2008.
540S
:
good, but no one would like the 3 on/off mini switches. it also would hide the new 24-fret S. or probably viceversa, now that a 24-fret S is available, no one would even care about a 22-fret reissue. also, 20th reissue would have been done in early 2008.
JS1
:
too similar to the JS1000 to justify higher priced sellings. hand-painted JS3, 4 or 5 reissues would make more sense but raise price to the stars.
565
:
that would make lot of sense in sellings, as it's a pretty different RG yet without too much effort from the factory. but we got to wait until 2011/12 to see it.

thanks, just trying to stay on Earth
oh btw, i did forget the Maxxas, which would of course be too complicated to build, being it completely out of the RG/R/S shape designs.

No-one said it had to be a 20th anniversary re-issue!!! just a re-issue thus all your time related arguments are out the window, Nuno

I'm guessing a 565, but I'd love a shot at a new Jem777DY

A BFP reissue I would just HAVE to buy! That is my favorite Jem by far!

Re: What next for the Ibanez reissues?
You guys think Jems are expensive right now? Imagine what they would charge for one of the "classic Jem" reissues. Imagine all the threads on that price.

Imagine if the Jem 25th was the classic Jem RI. Threads about the guitar, what it will be and complaining about the price.
