Wasn't that just a proptotype? A great thing about it was that it had a bird's eye maple neck .

Like to see Ibanez step up to the plate and break the cutting edge like they did in 1987-1992... yet of course it would have to be great to make waves today. Put the Exciting stuff back into the Players hands instead of always in the collectors closets.

I think collecting is a wonderful thing, yet enough is enough. Get Smart, Get Serious, Get Back in the Music with maximum impact.

I know it's been beaten into the ground but bringing back guitars from yesteryear like RG5**, RG7**, etc. with AANJ's and bright colours, and the main one for me...

Floral Jem with AANJ

Or....

I know there is a blue floral, but how cool would a normal floral be with a maple fretboard and green vine?

With an AANJ

That would be nice. ^

I think they should make a new UV. The UV777BK has been going since '98. It would be nice to see something new and fresh and anything besides black.

I'd like to see more Neck-Thru's and Set-Thru's. Much more ebony Fretboard's with only side dots and bodies that are bound.

Re: What would you like to see from Ibanez?

more baritones and less floating bridges. i think lots of guitarists play with tunings now more than ever ... floating bridges are horrid/non-option if you like to play with tunings.

not to mention every other band today has a different tuning. making it a real pain to just jam on different songs.

E ... drop D, drop C etc...

ibanez is losing it's edge in the heavy playing styles to esp and schecter ... RG's still rule ... but if it wasn't for the new RGA's ... i was close to buying an ESP or Schecter.

... and sponsorships that appeal to more people ... not just us guitar nerds. this helps sales, which keeps the money floating, which *can* result in more variations.
