They should fire T-Shirts at us while they're at it.

I'd like to see radius, UCEWs,Koa Voyagers,RG 560s,Jem 77fp,Jem 77bfp, and if possible the V's and Destroyers models from the lawsuit era. Now those would be cool. While their at it why not make those back stops for the edge trems again.

Re: What would you like to see from Ibanez?

As the Jem 7VWH is the signature guitar of Steve Vai and given that Flo is a "Jem", albeit not a stock Jem 7VWH should Ibanez not do a Jem 7VWH with either a Fernandes or a Sustainiac driver as a factory fit. I know Alan Hoover at Sustainiac is trying or has tried to get Ibanez to do this. I am sure there is a market.

Definately, this has been a topic of discussion on here recently.

Do you know what I'd REALLY love from Ibanez though?

A guitar that isn't black/dark colour.

I would like to see more control over the way their products are sold in retail. I bought my JEM7VWH new from guitar center last year, and I had to pay for the case. I didn't even get any documentation for the guitar, or even the proper tremolo arm. This is not something that should happen when you spend $2000 on a non-american guitar.

Being a foreigner I probably shouldn't comment, but from what I have read this seems fairly typical of Guitar Centre, they seem to be the Wal-Mart of music stores.

Meanwhile, back on topic, I'm thinking built in beer fridge, or maybe a small television to keep me entertained during slow sessions.......

That's kinda true, sadly, but the smaller shops don't carry the higher end ibanezes. Sam ash didn't have one, and I have had horrific experiences with them. I didn't really want to have the store order me one without being able to play it and stuff, but once I played the one at GC I had to buy it. You know how JEMS feel.

They just ripped you off, pure and simple. It seems to be the thing to do for the stores that can get away with it. Most of the guitars they sell don't come with cases so they hope/figure the consumer won't know. It sucks but it would be hard for Ibanez to police. You'd have to pitch a fit to the manager and that may have helped you but you'd have to know (and maybe prove) that the case came with it.

Your best ammo with them is to mention that you can buy the same guitar with the case for the same price AND without sales tax from their sister company Music!an's Fr!end. That would likely have gotten them to match the online deal, including them reducing the guitar to take out the tax as well.

They are supposed to be sold with case and not without .

Re: What would you like to see from Ibanez?

My dream from Ibanez:

Reissue the 540PII in a 6 and 7 string version!!!!!!!!!
Whoaaa a 7 string 540PII, just imagine!!!
I own 3 540PII's and would love to have one with 7 strings.
- maple board
- reversed headstock
- reversed sharkfin inlays
- snakeskin or lizardskin painted

Make my dream come true!!!

Re: What would you like to see from Ibanez?

i'd cut some dead branches off, like the JS100, the JEM555 and some of those '60s looking models, then i would expand on the lefties market, i'm not lefty but it's sad they dont have enough choice (i.e.: they would buy if you supply)
and it would be cool to see a couple reissues like the Radius or the 540PII (would Gotoh make a 45mm-wide TopLok again?).
oh, and i'll bring back a cool idea: a slightly smaller-than-standard bodied RG would look killer and fit better, we're not all as tall as Vai or Gilbert!
