The 7 string market isn't huge anyway, let alone a Xiphos shaped 7 string in a wide variety of cool colours. It just won't happen.

I just cannot see the 6 string Xiphos selling all that well anyway. It's a very aquired taste, and some people will hate the shape/overall look of it. And don't forget not everyone is a massive Necrophagist fan either.

But you gotta realize the same can be said for Strat shapes (I dont play strat shapes for anything other than sitting, it feels like crap under my arm), and theres NO.. i repeat NO non-strat shape 7 strings production models from ANY company under $2000, that should be a big selling point alone. Sure, the market is thin, but given the chance that they would be groundbreaking into the 7 string scene with something never done before, they would get at least acouple thousand sold from that alone. Along with Necrophagist endorsing it, and it being an Ibanez 7 so it will automatically get great praise.

If it was just in Black, with a Edge Pro II equivilant, that would be fine for like $700 MSRP most likely.. I think it would sell lots.

I would love a Xiphos 7 with a Edge 3 equivilant on it.. that would be sweet. Of course a EP7 would be better but would push it over $1000

I just saw that guitar being played by the man last night.

I guess he converted every Necrophagist song to 7 string because he didn't switch up.

Sami Raatikainen played a 6 string with a FR, so I can't be sure if it was drop-tuned or not. I doubt it because the arm was still in the bridge.
