He had great tone and played just as good live as he does on the CD. However while they played very well, none of them moved (excluding Muhammed because he really can't while doing vocals and guitar). And I can be sure Muhammed works out. If you see some older videos of them live he is very skinny, but when you saw him playing you could see how flexed and huge his arms were. He definitely works out now.

I guess he converted every Necrophagist song to 7 string because he didn't switch up.

Sami Raatikainen played a 6 string with a FR, so I can't be sure if it was drop-tuned or not. I doubt it because the arm was still in the bridge.
When I saw him, he was using an exact six string version of that guitar. You might have been mistaken. I think he is going to start using the 7 string on the next album

Ah really?? I was wondering because it looked like he had a chrome bridge at the show and the picture shows a black bridge...

My friend was thinking the same thing but I guess because I saw the photo before hand I just assumed it was the 7 string...

Odd...really cool finish though. The Chameleon was like went from shiny black like always on chameleon finishes to a really flat black...

If it was chrome, it was probably his BC Rich Stealth:

He had this just before moving to Ibanez, and it probably provided a lot of inspiration for the shape of the Xiphos.

Re: Xiphos in 7 String!

Nah it was DEFINITELY an Ibanez. I made sure it had the Ibby headstock and it had the same chameleon-like finish and it had the Necrophagist inlay.

Tight guitar though!

Yeah, he's really a muscle guy and pretty small, too. When I meet him, he was nearly a head shorter than me. But I had a pretty nice talk with him, although it wasn't that long.

Re: Xiphos in 7 String!

Muhammed didn't use the seven string yet. It's in his bus but he hasn't gone on stage with it. He's got a 6 string version of the same exact guitar also. So he hasn't converted anything all Epitaph/Onset songs are still in D standard.

EDIT: damn, beaten to it -_-

Btw, I'll add Muhammed is one of the coolest people around, got a chance to chat with him and stuff and when a few of my friends didn't get into the venue at first (18+) He did everything in his power to get them in (and succeeded)
