A modern method for guitar - What do you think of this book?

I got this book today and must say that i am very impressed with the quality of information that is in this book. I saw in guitar world a 'survival guide for guitarists' and john Petrucci said that this was a good book. I was curious to find what you all think of this book.

P.S the author is William Levitt and is published by Berklee Press

I think the 'Modern Method' Series is pretty much the standard for guitar instruction in collegiate music programs.

I have earlier revisions of the books from way back and thought they were very thorough for what they presented. Good books imo.

I only have MM Volume 1, but d*amn
....it has about everything as far as "general guitar/music knowledge that every guitarist should have but few actually posess"....I don't know if I will ever make it through this book, but I am working my *** off to get through it in time to go out to GIT in the fall....I need to be familiar with all of this to just be able to hang with the classes I will take, I'm sure....BTW, anyone on this site currently attending/past attendant of GIT?
