Artifical/Pinched Harmonics - any videos on how to do them?

Hi ya

On my old Ibanez EX370 I use to be able to pull off decent squeeeeeeeely pinched harmonics but since getting my JS1000BTB they sound weak - I tried using bridge or neck pickups... tried different placements on the strings/neck... nothing.

Do any of you have any video clips of you pulling off artificial harmonics/pinched harmonics that I can look at to get that kinda Zak Wylde squeel?

My equip is...

JS1000BTB
Marshall AVT20 ValveState amp
Boss GT6
Boss DS1
CryBaby wah
+ other little bits which won't help with the squeeeeeeeeeeling

Thanks!

James

james, there could be a few minor issues affecting your tone. First, make sure that your pickups on the JS are not too far away from the strings. They need to be close enough to really get the harmonics.

Experiment with different hand positions since each guitar will have it's own "sweet spot".

Lastly, try pumping up the gain and compression and see what you can do. If all else fails, try a higher output pickup.
