Attention 7 Stringers - what do you tune too?

I am building an application for 7 string guitars to show all the scales and modes...and was curious as to what the most widely used tunings among seven string guitarists is.

Do most of you tune to a B or an A or what?

What do you think the most common tuning for a seven string is?

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

I'm not a seven stringer, but I thought the standard was to have the 7th string tuned to a B.

I usually tune to an electronic tuner, but I do have a tuning fork too.

I tune the low string to an A.

Re: Attention 7 Stringers - what do you tune too?

Aside from the one sarcastic remark....thanks to all those who have posted so far....I think I will leave what I have with the low B and maybe later add in the option for a low A. So far it shows all major and minor scales and modes and some other scales just like it's 6 string counterpart. If anyone wants to see it let me know.

B standard. Since my 7-string is a hard tail, I sometimes mess around with tunings like open D-minor as well... (ADADFAD)

Re: Attention 7 Stringers - what do you tune too?

Ok let me rephrase the question a little.

If you were searching out on the net for some scale diagrams for 7 string guitars, would you be looking for diagrams that showed the 7th string as a B or A or what?

I guess right now I'll stick with a low B since my application is done and add alternate tunings later....but besides tuning the 7th string to an A is there any others that you guys think would be more common?

Re: Attention 7 Stringers - what do you tune too?

Low B is without a doubt the most popular tuning. Doesn't keep people from tuning them in various other ways, but BEADGBE is the most popular tuning for 7-strings.
