Bass Lesson: Blue Powder Solo!

Here's Stu Hamm's part from the break in Blue Powder (2:38-3:14). I transcribed this myself tonight, so if anyone has the full score PaW book feel free to tell me if it's close to what's in there. Although, I do have enough faith in my tabbing so if there's a difference, I normally assume the book's wrong.
:-)
I noticed some other posts with tab where the attempts to change the font didn't work, so paste this into a text viewer with a fixed width font for best viewing.

Key points:

Measures 1-2: Slap and pop, indicated s/p below tab. Anyone who's played some Flea parts should be able to get this, the toughest part is keeping a steady rhythm--almost more important than the notes themselves--especially where there are slaps on 2 consecutive 16th notes.

Measures 5-6: Two-hand tapping. The left hand taps the notes at the 12th and 14th frets, right hand taps everything above. The rhythm is 5:4 groupings of 16th notes (5 notes spaced evenly per beat). Notice that a few notes change in the right hand but it's the same 10 note l/r sequence as far as the fingers go, played 4 times (the last lh tap is omitted on the final time).

Measures 9-10: Start off with a triplet 16th note pattern. 1. Pop w/ rh, 2. hit the string(s) with a lh finger, 3. Slap with rh thumb. Keeping the lh index finger across all strings to mute them and bringing down the ring finger works best for part #2- check out Laquerhead by Primus for a lot of this type of lh slapping. 4 of these triplet patterns lead into the pop on the C note to finish off the section similar to measures 1-2.

The rest of the parts are pretty simple, just a little tougher to hear compared to the sections detailed above.
That's it! Have fun.
