Re: Berklee

I went a while back. It's great, just focus on it. Totally immerse yourself. The campus isn't very attractive (Back Bay area of Boston, near the Fens) but it's cool.

Re: Berklee

I went as well - one of a very few that actually went the distance.

Do a search and you'll find volumes I've written here about it.

Re: Berklee

I know a teacher who was educated at Berklee. He can't teach worth a hoot. But he's a fantastic guitar player.

Mike Clasciak (sp?) has gone on to bigger things, if you read the Berklee Press. He was a nice guy. I lived in Everett with the wife, so came in, did classes, went down to Clarendon Wine Co. on Boylston and worked, then home. No kids then, ah, the freedom.........

As are John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portonoy I think, but i think they left before graduating to concentrate on their band Majesty (Later Dream Theater).

Uh, that would be "alumnUS", but he didn't graduate, my understanding. More important things to do, like tour with Zappa!
