Books - Need some

I am sure there was aplace on vai.com where it listed some of the books vai used when he was youngerto study rhythms, scales etc.

Anyone know where this is, or has any ideas about some of the books he used?

I dont know what vai used...i remember reading that he got violin music and sax music and used it a lot for sight reading and whatnot...
but...I know of two books that are great for any guitarist...beginning to advanced....the two by john petrucci...wild stringdom and rock discipline. *Those are great!
