Can anyone here play "Into the Lungs of Hell" by Megadeth?

I have the official songbook for this (the Peace Sells and So Far So Good So What albums in one book) and even though most of the material is WAAAY above my beginners' skill level I started playing around with Into the Lungs of Hell the other day just to see what I could do.

The first few lines/bars call for an acoustic which is fine. It didn't look difficult so I grabbed my acoustic to try the opening sequence, and the first few notes/chords just didn't sound right for some reason. Is there a mistake in the tab? Comparing notes to tab, they seem to match each other, but when I listen to the song (on CD) the acoustic sounds different than what I was playing. (I don't mean the tone, I mean pitch).

The book didn't indicate any drop tuning or anything as far as I could tell. (my acoustic is in normal standard E tune).

Any thoughts/insights? Thanks.

some of the earlier megadeth albums 'sound' 1/4 step down. and make sure you're putting your fingers on the right strings and frets for sure. When I first started i read the symphony of destruction tab wrong and was playing this going wtf:

needless to say i felt dumb. A fun megadeth song is poison was the cure. and holy wars/the punishment due
