Well, let's break it down and look at what the chord name is saying:
A- it's an A chord. (duh).
m7- it's an A chord with a minor 7th.
sus4 -it's an A chord with a minor 7th and a 3rd that's been replaced with the 4th.
So, you need the following notes:
A (the root)
E (the 5th- optional, but if you can fit it in comfortably and it sounds right, then go for it.
)
G (the minor 7th)
D (the 4th)
There's a ton of different ways to play that... course, what concerns me here is that Kennydoe's includes the b3, and i know the man knows his theory cold... Is that just an optional way you'd choose to "color" the sound of the chord a bit more (it's a beautiful sounding chord, incidentally, i love those suspensions), or is my understanding of a m7sus chord off?
