Hey can anyone give me some cool sounding chords for jazz, blues and rock. And if possible a list of chords that Vai uses often. Thanks!

Vai uses all sorts, i'd recomend experimenting yourself and not try to be told what to play. This is coming from someone who is self taught and doing quiet alright on his own.

And listen to as many styles and artists that you can and enjoy them. Ive found when i listen to queen, i hear something new everytime and its great. The key is to listen, listen, listen and listen. Play the notes that maybe you shouldnt, its hard to explain in words, but if you listen to jazz and blues, you'll maybe know what i mean.
