Essential MUST LEARN songs for Electric Guitar

In order to build up a repetoire of songs to learn that are famous for their guitar parts, I'd like to kick start off a list of essential MUST LEARN songs for the electric guitar. The songs you recommend must not be biased towards your favorite artists/songs, but should be songs easily identifiable for their guitar parts.

there's too many for me to list solely, so I'll start the ball rolling with the obvious

1.) Smoke on the Water - Deep purple
2.) Stairway to Heaven/Whole Lotta love - Led Zeppelin
3.) Voodoo Chile/Hey joe/Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix
4.) Sweet Child of Mine - Guns n Roses
5.) Walk this way - Aeromsith
6.) House of the Rising Sun - The Animals
7.) Back in Black - ACDC
8.) Paranoid - Black Sabbath
9.) Layla - Eric Calpton
10.) Albatross - Fleetwood Mac
11.) Enter Sandman - Metallica

Re: Essential MUST LEARN songs for Electric Guitar

1) Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry (this should be the VERY FIRST song anyone ever learns - guitar, bass AND lyrics)

2) You Really Got Me - The Kinks

3) Day Tripper - The Beatles

4) Detroit Rock City - KISS (this one teaches restraint)

5) La Grange - ZZ Top

that's almost a list of songs not to learn I'd say...

Except for the Hendrix tunes and AC/DC
