Ever try this in a riff/song?

Ever try using the sound that a guitar makes when u pull the high e off the board and onto the side? Just a second ago i did a sweep and my finger pulled it to hard and it went off the board and made the perfect octave!! so i'm thinking hey this might work for something.

Yeah, that's the ram-shank. You know, if you pull it off at different places on the edge you get different tones? But yeah that technique is cool sound and different. Like the technique where you bend up on one string and come down on the string above it, Gilbert does it all the time.
