For The Love Of God

well, I believe this is the right place for my question.

How do you guys play that part from the beginning of FTLOG ?

The songbook says :
|-12/13-12-10-10/12---8-8---|
|-12/13-12-10-10/12---8-8---|
|---------------------------------|
|---------------------------------|
|---------------------------------|
|---------------------------------|
|---------------------------------|
or something like that.;..

While it sounds basically like :
|---------------------------|
|---------------------------|
|---------------------------|
|---------------------------|
|---------------------------|
|-13-12---10-12---8-----|
|---------------------------|

Strange, why the Passion And Warfare songbook says that ??????

The first way (played on the b and e strings) is the way he plays it from passion and warfare. The other way on the low e string is the way he plays it on the G3 album (may not be on the low e, but still the same notes)

Ok is that right after the really deep wammy bend he does a low bend b st-3rd frett down -1 -3 1/2 -4

----------------|
----14^ 15--- 15/17/15----| 2nd string

---15/17\15-15---12-13--12-- 10--8--10--| 2nd string

then |----12/13\12\10-10\12--(12)8--8--|
|----12/13\12\10-10\12--(12)8--8--|
or are you talking the slide part in the intro before the squeals and bends start?

hey guys, little hint for posting tab- write it out in notepad (a proportional font), and then use the "code" button on the toolbar that you type stuff into. Paste it between the two "code" tags- it'll actually be readable.

ah thats a tricky one, its playeed on the high E and B strings, Vai has such bloody huge fingers that he just barres both of them with his first finger and he goes throught the position shifts

i am aware this didnt really answer neones question
