Good chord book for intermediate player?

I've had the "Understanding How to Build Guitar Chords and Aregggios" for years and while it is helpful and I reference it once in awhile, I feel somewhat stuck in a rut. Is there another good resource out there that offers some suggestions on how to take chords to build progressions and get song ideas?

Definitely check the books by Joe Pass and Ted Greene. For more progressions, check out "Chords and Progressions for Jazz and Popular Guitar" by Arnie Berle.

That's a good one. I found some of the inversions to be a little over-the-top and even impractical for certain situations.

It's probably most efficient in the long run to teach yourself to see the major scale in terms of its degrees, and building your own chords from the ground up anywhere on the neck.
