Ok, I have the oppertunity to take lessons from a local who knows his stuff pretty well...like, crazy about everything well. Knows everything about theory, can play like a demon, knows pretty much everything to make a great guitarist. So..I can take lessons from him but he charges 20 dollars an hour respectively. Eventually that will add up, if i want to get really into learning from him. The school I want to enroll at after high school (1 more year to go) recommends professional lessons before enrolling. If i dont take lessons from this guy, and take them from a pro,id have to travel 45 minutes to get to the
music store that offers them, and with gas prices, it will end up costing alot more anyway.
So basically i want to know if this guy can really help me out alot, or if i can do just as well with guitar books/vids/dvds. I know feedback and stuff is good aswell, but that can be acquired from anyone really.
Any comments?
