Try locrian natural 2...so pretty.
I love the locrian mode.

I rather have the artificial Superlocrian #9 third inversed mode with the flat 8.

Just base your solo's on the chords played at that time. Stick to the root, third, fifth, seventh and octave. Make a beginning, Cool mid section and nice outro and you've got a great solo.

You can make it as difficult as you like, but when are you going to lose the feeling you want to let other people to feel?

Re: harmonic minor scale

-------------------------------8-10-12----------------------
----------------------9-10-12-------------------------------
-------------9-10-13----------------------------------------
----9-10-12-------------------------------------------------
-12---------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------

this is one of my favorite patterns...although play it from A to A to get the feel of the soun dof the scale..i lik eto play every note i can reach while i am in a certain position...that is why i wen tall the way up to the E..

sounds awesome played fast

...and if I select my chords based on what scale I want to play?

Using scales is incompatible with "feeling"?

that'd be 1-b2-3-4-5-b6-7, so it's the 5th mode of the Hungarian Minor scale....it's commonly referred to Double Harmonic, but it doesn't actually have a widely accepted, "official" name.

@Big Red....that's not always true necessarily. Within the contexts of classical harmony it holds true most of the time, but it's not uncommon at all for bIII+ or a i-(maj7)to show up...especially once you start getting into jazz harmony
