how is 'sisters' played


I have the tab......but is it played with a pick or fingerstyle.or is it hybrid picking with the pick and fingers?thanks dudes

I play it 'hybrid', but its best to play it the way you feel best.

I believe Stevo plays it 'hybrid' so to speak, as well.

I play it finger pick, and i keep my index finger nail pretty long and use that as a pick for pick kinda parts on that tune

i play it using plectrum only aswell, i cant play hybrid coz my right hand's a bit knackered (i broke my ring and little finger and all the bones there have fused together) i find it ok like that.

I play it both ways - all fingers, and all pick (except its really hybrid, cos I can't ever resist the odd bit of finger action).

Advantages to both.

Doesn't matter much which.

how do you guys play the very slow middle section (all octaves) with just the pick?

It could be done with muting - a la Tender Surrender (although in the video I saw, he used his thumb). I tend to play the lower notes with a pick and the higher with my third finger though.

me too. Judging from the tone, I'm willing to bet steve uses fingers and pick too, particularly at that part.
