I play it 'hybrid', but its best to play it the way you feel best.
I believe Stevo plays it 'hybrid' so to speak, as well.

I play it finger pick, and i keep my index finger nail pretty long and use that as a pick for pick kinda parts on that tune

i play it using plectrum only aswell, i cant play hybrid coz my right hand's a bit knackered (i broke my ring and little finger and all the bones there have fused together) i find it ok like that.

I play it both ways - all fingers, and all pick (except its really hybrid, cos I can't ever resist the odd bit of finger action).
Advantages to both.
Doesn't matter much which.

It could be done with muting - a la Tender Surrender (although in the video I saw, he used his thumb). I tend to play the lower notes with a pick and the higher with my third finger though.

me too. Judging from the tone, I'm willing to bet steve uses fingers and pick too, particularly at that part.
