Hybrid picking - a la 'Juice'

Ok,

Although I can't play most of it, I understand most guitar notation/technique.
After some lovely person bought me the ALS tab for xmas (I think they WANTED me to go insane) I discovered a little note 'hybrid picking' over a few bars in Juice....

Answers on a postcard

Hybrid picking

Ok, hybrid picking is when you use both a pick and fingers.
You can use it in many situations including picking octaves or in thecase of juice slides with string skipping. I think its the bit in the first chorus? After the second G , D, A, with the asscending lick at the end using the Pick on the G string and your middle or ring finger on the E string.
Hope that made any sense and helped.

Hybrid picking? Just sounds like another name for Travis picking, a technique used by a lot of rockabilly guitarists.
