Instructional slide guitar materials.
I'm looking for beginning instructional slide guitar materials. There really isn't much available at Barnes and Noble or at the Guitar Center. Books, CDs, DVDs, anything that can help me learn.
thanx.

Re: Instructional slide guitar materials.
The Warren Haynes stuff is now available on DVD.. there's a section for electric and the one dealing solely with acoustic.
Also the slide section of Matt Smith's book "Chop Shop" is phenomenal.
I've used both methods with students over the years with great success.
Lots of great info on Standard and Open tuning slide work.
Watch any sonny Landreth as mentioned..depends really on how far you want to take slide. You'll notice most of the "master" slide players pretty much just play slide. For cool twist on slide that includes non-blues things you may want to also check out Derek Trucks.
