Intro to Sleepwalk?????

Does anyone know what kind of effect Joe is using at the very beginning of Sleepwalk? You know that kind of synthesized sound of his guitar only before the drums bass etc etc join in???

That was actually Robert Fripp doing all of that stuff, using his patented 'Fripptronics' (Just a word for the weird ambient sounds he is famous for getting). Joe even said he had no idea what was going on, he just loved it!
