Re: Joey Dahlia mini School (Killer guitar lessons)

I've listened to a few of your recordings now Joey, and I’m not bashing you in any way, but you're not THAT good. Your problem is your ego, and like everyone has stated, "get rid of the ego and bad attitude and then you'll probably progress as a player.

People would take your 'toons' a little better if you didn't go around acting like your sh1t don't stink.

Now I'm not that good either, I barely touched my guitar for almost three years until the start of last year when I started working on new material for my new band (which should start playing gigs in the next couple of months).

And I know it's hard to get your chops back - luckily my band is pretty much a punk rock band playing three chords and the truth. But I know that I'm not that good a player at the moment, but I'm working on my technique so I can play a little out of left field in my 'punk' band. I will hopefully get my skill level and technique back to where it was seven years ago, and take it further.

But I will always remain humble.

There is always going to be someone better than you. I'm sure even people like Vai, Satch, etc feel like this at times, so it is always best to remain humble. People will respect you a hell of a lot more.

My 0.02c

Although I'm guessing you're just a bored individual who goes on to forums to act like a tool just to get attention. Probably because you crave it, and don't get enough in real life, and you don't care if the attention is good or bad.

And yet another pointless comment from joey - maybe you should write a book of pointless comments, might give you something else to do rather than come on here posting them. Then only people interested in reading pointless comments would have to read them.

Re: Joey Dahlia mini School (Killer guitar lessons)

Well I've done a bit of reading on other forums and found that the majority of musicians that frequent the forums you have been to don't take you seriously as a player or a teacher. And the use of different usernames to talk yourself up is pretty damn lame too.

I'd suggest you stop posting your lessons online because unfortunately there are players who are still at the basic stages of learning guitar who are getting 'tricked' by your lessons. I wouldn't want them to learn bad habits from your lessons.

Oh also I never said you were the best. Just by reading anything you've written, whether it be these so called "lessons", posts you write, or dodgy "interviews" you've "done", you seem to imply that you are. You are not.

ball....i wont say it! under a new name!

its just not true!.. but as one of my students told me i am paying my dues, what ever that means!?

i am playing guitar while it gets pissed on(just the way i want it)
and not when its the thing to do! like in 85

I'm not talking about this forum, I'm talking about a lot of other forums, and these interviews you have apparently done.

Re: Joey Dahlia mini School (Killer guitar lessons)

wow, great posts Lone Phantom....I completely 100% agree with you, great sleuthing btw. I didn't realize this guy's idiocy has infected quite a number of places. Sure, he's a douchebag....no doubt.......but I wouldn't be surprised if he was banned just purely on the basis of his wretched playing.....lmao

and please, don't compare or associate yourself with Angelo or Vinnie Moore, that's just an insult to them....you're barely even a decent beginner. And juding by you're clips and ego....you will never get better.

work on your pitch, work on your theory, work on that laughable vibrato and for pete sake's work on your goddamn timing. You have a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go to be even halfway decent.

oh yeah, your lessons flat out suck. Don't trick people, esp. the young impressional guitarists who are just learning, into wasting their precious practice time with your musical douchery.

carlo,

i did learn leroy

If you multiply 3.14 x the square root of Jelly, Than take the root note move it to the 3rd 5th!,Use standard rca jacks, when playing the 7th triad 3rd root note. You should always end up at Taco Bell!
