Re: Joey Dahlia mini School (Killer guitar lessons)

I think you are a good guitarplayer, but to be really sure I would like to hear you play something over I - VI - II - V. One bar of each at a tempo you choose. Two clean guitars (that's clean sound, as in not distorted), one with the chords, the other with the melody you make.

If you can make something nice, catchy, heroic, huge or whatever you feel like over those chords, then you are a good guitarplayer. To me. You could say this is a challenge, but that's totally up to you. You like to record new stuff all the time, so here is another chance.

I'm looking forward hearing your new melody.

Re: Joey Dahlia mini School (Killer guitar lessons)

C - A - D - G.

C D E F G A B
I II III IV V VI VII

Feel free to extend those chords into C6/C7/Cmaj7/C9 etc. The general limit is C - A - D - G (Or: I - VI - II - V in another key.)

Re: Joey Dahlia mini School (Killer guitar lessons)

well listening to your stuff.....it's pretty easy to tell right off that you lack musical theory and any decent harmonic sense Your vibrato is weak and you're really out of tune as well.

but if you get all that in order....then you're on your way after a few years.

nice post Drew btw...haha!!

Re: Joey Dahlia mini School (Killer guitar lessons)

Can I hear you play with no delay, reverb or distortion? NO drums or synth either.

I just want to hear you raw. Then post a link to the audio here.
