I'm a lefty that plays right handed. Supposedly, lefties will learn quicker if they play right handed. I don't know though. My first teacher talked me into playing right handed after I had been playing lefty for a while. It felt like I learned a little faster. Plus, he said right handed guitars would be cheaper.

Left handed classical stringed instrumentalists play right handed. The best instruments are available and are cheaper.

I'm left handed and play right handed, don't think it's held me back at all. It is certainly easier to get hold of guitars in right handed models.

I'm right-handed (and play righty oc) and it took me quite a long time to learn technique like legato and such.

I used to do _everything_ with my right hand (I mean everything!), and never really developed my left hand. Then I started to play accoustic guitar; and that changed a bit, but I'm a real fingerstyle man, that was my strength (my right hand...). I never played songs on the accoustic with difficult left-hand things.

Now I'm doing nothing else than play electric guitar with a pick and my right hand suddenly doesn't seem all that functional anymore. I can really notice the difference of functionalty in my left hand right now (I can even type _a lot_ better).

I think left-handed players could learn righty guitar faster because of their advantage of finger-motor in their left-hand.

That's my story.
