new magazine I saw called Guitar Techniques

... well, it's new to me anyway. It's printed in England. It has contributions from musicians from all music genres. There are some great chord progressions and examples of soloing over those, and expand upon. I really like it. Here in the US it costs $13.00, but well worth it IMO. I hope this helps.

Yep been a subscriber for over a year. Doesn't seem like you're getting a bad deal, it's around £5 an issue over here. You can probably get it cheaper if you subscribe. It's great because it covers a large range of material, from jazz comping and soloing to technique focus, as well as transcriptions.

Even for a subscription in the US, you're paying close to newsstand price. 13 issues is £81, which is about US$153 or so = about US$11.75 per issue.

Check out the new Guitar One, it now has CDs with video and audio for most of the articles, and it's much cheaper to subscribe too. I think I got a year for around $24.
