Pinky-Ring finger independence and strength

thread title are the weak points in my playing apart from the lack of talent. I kinda made these exercises for myself to work on the problem. posting 'em here so that everyone can benefit from it.

top numbers are fingers and you need to alternate pick the notes. start with upstroke and downstroke for more challenge and practice.

another exercise is a famous one by paul gilbert...but I have changed the finger position for my practice.

i elaborated a bit on my original post, just continue the pattern until your are playing strings 1 and 6 at the same time:

7-8--5-6---7-8-5-6----7-8-5-6-----7-8-5-6------------------------------------
5-6--7-8-------------------------------------------------------------------

your position never shifts off of the 5th fret;

1st finger - 5th fret
2nd finger - 6th fret
3rd finger - 7th fret
4th finger - 8th fret

there are always 2 notes at a time, so to compensate for the huge intervals near the end, i use my pick and middle finger (right hand) on this one. or you could play the notes one at a time and make it a crazy alternate picking excercise.
