Re: Practice stuffs-Alternate picking and junk

I've been using this little chromatic, works pretty well for building up speed. Pretty decent warm-up lick too. I'm *pretty* sure this tab is right, i've only had one cup of a coffee and i dont have a guitar near me

Just grab a metronome and play 4 notes per tick. Play the run three times (without mistakes) then increase the tempo by 6bpm. I think i started off on 80bpm about a month ago and i'm up to 130bpm now.

doh, its a little wide, lol...if you make your browser wide enough it should fit, otherwise copy/paste it into notepad.

Re: Practice stuffs-Alternate picking and junk

I'm doing one is based in the following chromatic scale fingering:

E |-------------------------------------------------------------1--2--3--4--
B |-------------------------------------------------2--3--4--5--------------
G |-------------------------------------2--3--4--5--------------------------
D |-------------------------3--4--5--6--------------------------------------
A |-------------4--5--6--7--------------------------------------------------
E |-5--6--7--8--------------------------------------------------------------

E |-5--4--3--2-------------------------------------------------------------
B |-------------6--5--4--3--------------------------------------------------
G |-------------------------6--5--4--3--------------------------------------
D |-------------------------------------7--6--5--4--------------------------
A |-------------------------------------------------8--7--6--5--------------
E |-------------------------------------------------------------9--8--7--6--

I'm also incorporating some left hand permutations like:

E |-------------------------------------------------------------2--3--4--1--
B |-------------------------------------------------2--3--4--5--------------
G |-------------------------------------5--2--3--4--------------------------
D |-------------------------5--6--3--4--------------------------------------
A |-------------5--6--7--4--------------------------------------------------
E |-5--6--7--8--------------------------------------------------------------

E |-4--5--2--3--------------------------------------------------------------
B |-------------6--3--4--5--------------------------------------------------
G |-------------------------3--4--5--6--------------------------------------
D |-------------------------------------5--6--7--4--------------------------
A |-------------------------------------------------7--8--5--6--------------
E |-------------------------------------------------------------9--6--7--8--

This last one if very fun, there are a lot of possible permutations but I'm just starting with this
