Question for Berklee people.

DW - I agree. I was also amazed at all the people that went up there who thought they were the best player around because they blew away all their high school buddies playing some "stuff". After about a month they were so depressed they could function because they weren't top dog. Musicians are an interesting breed. Sometimes we forget what it is all about. I went up there so intimidated (insecure) and came out with a great feeling. I was 10 times the musician when I left than when I entered.

Anyway, to add to the sight reading issue, it's HARD to sight-read on guitar, 'cause the instrument is so complex. Just think about piano; it's got the 12 notes used in western music right under your nose, in a ten-inch row.
