Re: Recommend a good book
Wow I just read "About The Author" I'm glad your walking around again !
I'm going to buy this book and check it out.
I recommend Speed Mechanics for all my "shred" students hopefully I can recommend this one as well.

Re: Recommend a good book
Lol I just received my copy of intelli-shred from amazon a few days ago. It's a great book, however there is a typo on the cover. If you look at the guys brain, it says "multi-fwinger mayhem" It's still a great book though.

Re: Recommend a good book
LOL! That is a book from the first printing.. the second printing started at Warner Bros about a month or so... it has been eliminated/corrected on the new ones, so your will be different.
Everything else inside the book is the same though.
The second book in the series should be released between now and Christmas and will focus on all types of arpeggio techniques.
THANK YOU for your support Timbaline!

I got my copy of Intelli-shred yesterday. I learned a few new things just flipping through it. I can not wait to really dig into this book.

+1 for Govan's books - both are EXCELLENT. Plus text is extremely well written (for a bit of trivia, Guthrie actually read Eglish of the Uni of Oxford, so you would expect the man could write) and humorous. The best books on playing I have ever read, fatastic, I can't put them down....
Plus the backing tracks are kick arse. If they don't expand your playing, nothing will!

The new book will debut at Winter Namm in January.. I think they'll also have it for pre-order on the NGW publications website.. as soon as I know.. I'll post it..
it'll be a book on arpeggio playing and various techniques... tapping, string skipping, sequencing, string skipped tapping, economy picking, sweeping, modal arpeggios, etc.

+99999 to all this, they are great books.
Worth it for the rambling preface at the start of the first book - full of random observations and witty nonsense.

Amazon had 1 copy of Intelli-Shred left, so I snapped it up! Better make me play like Guthrie Govan in 10 minutes or I want my money back!!
