Recommend me some flashy solo’s

Recommend me some flashy solo’s to learn.

I am board banging my head against a brick wall trying to learn Eugine’s trick back, cliffs of dover and under a glass moon.

I want flashy as opposed to technical (obviously there will be an element of the two going hand in hand) with licks I can borrow and add to my arsenal.

I am learning the solo to Alice Coopers - Feed my Frankenstein at the mo.

Cheers

Psalm of Lydia arpegios, its a pretty impressive sweep section and they're pretty generic so you can pull parts out and move them around the fretboard for your own gear.

I'd say learn Eugene's trick bag, Cliff of dover and Under glass a glass moon perfectly!!! that should require some serous woodshed and will give you some serious bragging rights if you pull it off.

I always felt that Satch's "The Extremist" was flashy but not difficult.

Check out Greg Howe's earlier albums ( Greg Howe and Introspection) for tons of cool licks.

Ritchie Kotzen early works also.

And you can't beat early Van Halen for flasy stuff

Perhaps you should try writing your OWN solo using what you have learned from the solo's you've mentioned

1. Vai/DLR: Big Trouble
2. Any other solo of your choice off the Eat 'em and Smile album

Will keep you busy for weeks (in my case, years!)

I have been plugging away with these for ages and would like to take a break from them. I serioulsy doubt I am ever going to be able to play them properly, which is probably what's doing my head in more.

thanks to all for the suggestions.
