Satchs Js2000 question.

i was wondering, this might sound really stupid, but the other day i went into guitar and amp and found that on the JS2000 there is nowhere to fit a whammy bar! is there something you have to unscrew?? my friend kept trying to convince me that it was just some sort of fine tuner but on the spec it says it is a low-pro edge. just wondering if anyone had some help regarding this!! plus if it is such a good guitar then why has the price fallen to about £999 i wonder......in my view its not as good as the Jem7vwh. What do u dudes and dudettes think?

It does not have a floyd rose trem. The bridge is based on and edge pro, but it does not have a whammy hole etc. That is to say it's a fixed bridge.

yes yes... the JS2000 has a fixed bridge that resembles a floater (beacuse of the fine tuners). It's one of the very few JS models that have a fixed bridge on it.

Re: Satchs Js2000 question.

Why? Satch plays them sometimes. The fixed-bridge JS models exist because Joe wants them to. The JS2000 was never a very popular model, and was discontinued a couple years ago. That's probably why the price has dropped. If you would rather have the floating bridge, get a JS1000 or JS1200 (or the JEM you mentioned if you prefer that), there are plenty around.

If you prefer the JEM then get the JEM. But don't pick it because the JEM has a floating trem and the JS2000 does not. Compare it to a floating trem JS model, then make your decision.
