Scarafied help!

From what i seen on the tabs and the video, the tab is wrong. The arpeggio after the intro starts at about 21st fret, but the video shows him doing it around 12-15.

heres the video im going off of.

well the vid is my fav version but it is different from the original that you will find tabs for. The original is in F and this is F# so there are probably more differences than just that. I want this version in tab too so later when I have time after my exams I'll try and tab it out for ppl unless someone already has this tab.

Re: Scarafied help!

also the tab could just be someone's representation of an easier way to do the arpeggio. If it is the same notes then the tabber just either liked it doing that way or they thought paul played it there from the audio track. My guesses though

Re: Scarafied help!

dude, theres 2 version of Scarified, the 12 - 15 fret string skipping is the solo version, where as the 21 fret tab is the Racer X version

i personally think the Solo version seems easier to play

Re: Scarafied help!

The original was 2 guitars playing harmonies hence the radical difference in the arpeggio he plays now solo. Originally Paul played the higher part and as others have said tuned 1/2 step down.

The spaceship one version is the nice one to aspire to IMO

if u have a closer look and listen to the 2versions
paul still plays the main verses the same as racerx version, u can still hear the harmony in the bg, changes are the solos and the 2 bar string skip which now is solo instead of harmony...and the scarifying string skip at the end is slightly different..

Racer x did use Eb tuning on the records and D (1 step down) on live if i remember correctly

Re: Scarafied help!

Yea theres 2 guitars in the original and some people who post the solo vers just rip one of these tracks.

The spaceship one vers is probably the best one, he played that solo and im pretty sure the start arpeggio is between 14th - 17th
