I could probably learn the No Boundaries tune by ear. It's straightforward, inside stuff - at half the tempo, that is.
I wanna play faster, esp picking. I want to improve my technique for my own playing and improv. You know - scale fragments, sweeping,
string skipping, and technique combination (string skipping/sweeping/tapping, sweep up/tap down, et c.). I want to know how he plays so fast.
I'm leaning towards speed kills. Have you seen this one? It's better for my goals?
I've learned some things from Paul Gilbert's and Ritchie Kotzen's videos. Paul Gilbert's videos are very good. I do a lot of chromatics, RH exercise, sweeping. arpeggios.
I use
alternate picking because it sounds better.
I'm also looking for more chromatic exercises and drills.
