This is a cool sounding tapping pattern i have heard petrucci doing in some of his
solos... I have been using it pretty much lately when playing keyboard. Here is a example
This example is in C Aeolian minor...
Tx *= Tap x with right hand
Rx = release to x - hold it when you release the tap
Hx = Hammer on x
Tapping pattern:

Now- move everything down one step diatonicly:
