Cheers Justin .... I think

Jay, I have not got a way to record anything at the moment. Im trying to rig somthing up so I can post more examples when I start talking about techniques and stuff.

I converted the second half of the stanley thing to midi
to give an idea of how it sounds if that helps. ( in this part I put some harmony and some melody up an octave to compensate for standard tuning, as most of us use locking nuts I assume )

as for the petrucci thing Im sure he uses the same sort of techniques.

no problem man, If you want me to go throgh the fingering for the stanley let me know, i just went through Justins lesson and realised that (even more so with this) a fingering guide is necessary.

Thanks guys, glad it was useful!

I tried fingering the stanley but got really p***d off cause it was taking so long. almost as long as it took to tab!!!

but if theres any particular points in the tab where you cant figure out which hand is playing which part just ask, generally the right hand takes the higher parts.

I may post some more if I ever get the time again, perhaps some of my two hand lead licks would be more suitable for this site
