Technique question on Dweezil's "Automatic" CD

On the song "Fwakstension", around the 2:00 mark, in the left side, I'm hearing a guitar (Keneally???) doing some weird stuffis. It sounds like slide guitar almost, but not really. What's going on here? Anyone know?
