Trembar tricks and noices....

-As you hit a note slightly pull the bar up, and release for a gargle type sound.

-Slightly push the bar down and hit a natural harmonic (I like the one on G string fret 2.3) then spin the bar so it is facing away from the bridge (so pushing down on the bar raises the pitch)then push the bar down for some incredible screaching. If you have enough volume it will sustain for ages and you can then lower the harmonic as you release it and gradually move the bar around to its normal position.

- Hit a pinch harmonic anywhere on the fretboard. Then use some wide vibrato with your fretting hand whilst steadily pushing down on the bar. *

- Try playing with the bar facing away from the bridge as before, then use the bar as normal (bearing in mind that pushing down now raises the note and pulling up lowers). Also, play each note whilst slightly tapping the bar in that position to get a kind of asian type sound.

Try sliding your finger up the neck, while at the same time pressing the bar down, so it sounds like you are sliding from the same note to the same note. Then you can release the bar etc when you are finished.

I think the guy that showed me that trick called it "choking the frog" which i thought was a way cool name for it
