Re: Tuner Help I Cant Make CENTZ of this and it HERTZ

I can give you some info on the "Hertz" part of your question.

While I don't have a solid answer for you, I can tell you this. The frequency of the low A string is 110 hertz. If you up an octave (2nd fret on the G string), that A is 220 hertz. When you jump up another octave (5th fret high E string), that A is 440 hertz. So all of this means it's not going to be easy to determine what a 1/4 or 1/2 step lower in hertz is for a given note unless you have memorized the data. The Hertz measurement is logarithmic. As you go up in pitch, the number of hertz, or cycles, increases logarithmicly. I can't think of a better example than the first one I gave you.

What exactly are you trying to do? Knowing that info might help you to get a better answer to your question.

I just found this chart and it shows the hertz value for 12 octaves worth of notes.

Find the open A string on the chart (110 Hz). Go down the octave to the next E note and that's the open E string (82.4 Hz). To tune down a 1/2 step, the low E string would be 77.8 Hz for D#.
