Upstrokes - inside picking with upstrokes

I'm having trouble movining to lower strings with upstrokes. Has anyone else had this problem? With patterns like this I seem to have alot of trouble.

IS there a problem with my hand position or is it just a matter of practice.

I'll give you my personal take on it:

Practice it slow until you get it right, then speed it up. *Sometimes when I am doing the upstrokes to the lower strings, I double pick, as in, I re-pick the string I am moving away from. *Although it's muted, it is unwanted, and I need to practice to take it out.

Practice it until it feels right and sounds right. *Do nice relaxed, full strokes, don't tense up. *Slow first, fast later.
