wail!!

does anbody know how to wail? ive seen steve vai and joe satriani doing it live, and sv does it alot to end songs. but i cant figure out how its done.
i think its done with harmonics, a whammy bar and a wah pedal but i cant get it.
any help would be great

just hit a bend somewhere reasonably low on the neck, 9th fret or 7th or somethin, and do some nice slow vibrato, and just hang in there as long as your guitar will allow!
i think that might be what you are after, either that or im bein patronising!!!!

Thats what I always thought it meant. And still do.
Please tell me that everyone here has seen Wayne's World 1 & 2?? Because if you havent, thats a crime right there!

Throughout both films they use the word "wail"
And that basically meant that a certain band rocked, and were cool.
Its sad to admit I know, but I still use the word "wail" in conversation, lol.
