weird sounds: how to?

hello,

I would like to use a few weird sounds in my playing (horn, telephone ringing etcetc) in my playing. I've read in another post that J.Beck has been using this horn sound in a couple of his tracks. can anyone point me the right one please so that I can get a tab and learn it ?

I was wondering whether you knew a webpage that shows how to do weirds sounds. (not noises: I am already pretty noisy according to my neighbors )

Thanks

Adrian Belew made a video many years ago. He is also one to listen to for unusual sounds and noises. Seagulls and such. Might be possible to find something on YouTube, I'm not sure.

Re: weird sounds: how to?

for seagulls i read that you use a Wah.
just reverse the jacks:

input of the wah is now where you plug the jack to the amp
output of the wah is now the input for the guitar

seems it was used a lot for D.Gilmour

looking now for the "meow" and the "horn" sound

found also that a remote control produces a cool sound when a button is pressed (and the remote control aimed at the p.up). I know: it's sooooooooo 1st week discovery...

I'll check for that guy on Youtube

I don't know if this is exactly what your talking about...but take your whammy bar off and run the top of it on your strings...weird sounds. Learned that from Mr. Vai videos.
