What chord is this?

I've been working out the live acoustic version of Sonata Arctica's 'Mary Lou', but there's one chord I can't quite seem to get the right tones of.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DM-jvvJmZkY

It occurs in this video at about 1:14, the last chord of the prechorus after the Abm. The leading tone is an F which moves towards the following Dbm, but the rest has completely thrown me. The guitar is tuned to Eb, by the way.

Can somebody help me out?

Re: What chord is this?

Sounds like he's just adding a '6' the Ab (which is not a minor, but a major).

I don't know why he'd change his position to do that....maybe he's jumping up to the 5th fret A chord from the open one.

If you're trying to play it, just grab the 2nd fret of the high E string with your pinky.
If you want to change positions like the guy does, play a 5th fret A bar chord and use your pinky ont he 7th fret B string to get that note.

This is all assuming your'e tuned down.

Sounds good, it was thinking the previous chord was an Amin that was throwing me off. Thanks kenny!

I'm also thinking (and keep in mind, i have never ehard this song) that he might have been going for an augmented chord and hit the 6th by accident. The 6th is a bit out of the blue there and doesn't really fit - an Aug chord would work much betterly there.
