I can play parts of CoD and Manhattan. I'm to lazy to learn the complete songs.

I'm learning Cliffs Of Dover right now. I thought i was doing pretty well for speed, then i heard the song properly and realised that Eric Johnson can't be human!

Re: What Eric Johnson songs can you play?

The new Guitar Techniques magazine (August 2006) has what I consider to be the best Cliffs transcription ever (and there have been a lot of them over the years!). It's by Guthrie Govan, one of my current favorite players, and the accompanying CD has GG's full version, plus an excellent backing track. This transcription cleared up a few trouble spots for me that never felt quite right before. Guthrie obviously studied not only the recording, but also a number of CoD videos to nail EJ's preferred fingerings.

Different EJ topic -- If anyone ever runs across a backing track for Zap, I'd be forever grateful. I've been trying to find/make one for years and still don't have anything even remotely performance worthy. With all the BTs out there, I'm surprised no one has taken this one on.

Cheers,
Bert
